Hi fellow warriors,

Before the month of February comes to an end, I want to introduce myself. I've finished my rookie season as a metastatic PCa fighter. I haven't done many things gracefully in my life and I'm trying to show some grace as I fight this damned disease. I also want to thank the men who always answer the call and provide extremely useful information. For myself, I have learned a bunch and especially love the links that are frequently included.

That's it. Just wanted to say, hello.

Sorry to see you got drafted onto this “team”.

None of us want to be on it 😉

Good luck with your treatments. Some super bright gents here. I believe Tall_Allen probably put me on a course that will greatly improve my survival longevity and quality of life with some of the suggestions he made for me.

Welcome. I hear you about having grace, or at least patience. There is no cancer I know of with a longer natural history, so patience is required, or else the buffeting winds of your thoughts and feelings will drive you crazy.

Clay, sorry about your new membership, but hang in there ---- I had my brachytherapy eight years ago, followed by radiation, chemo, and now ADT. Lots of good ideas and suggestions HERE from men who have been THERE.

Welcome. I remember voraciously reading posts on this site in the first few months after diagnosis, almost 5 years ago. I learned so much from the information shared here and was grateful for that knowledge. Perhaps you will become one of people who shares your experience with future diagnosed men.

Remember what Groucho Marx said: he’d never want to join a club that would have him. Well, we welcome you to ours even though you didn’t want any part of us 😂.

Always great info here and wonderful supportive internet friends to buoy your spirits when needed.

Stay positive and exercise like your life depended on it. It may!

God speed!

I'm in the Cleveland, OH area. Cleveland Clinic is providing my care. I also use Mayo for second opinions.

Congrats on finishing your rookie year! Unfortunately, you can't quit the PC team or ask to be traded, so dig in. Good luck on your treatments and future health! 🦊
