This is a somewhat simple question but I'm going to ask it in any case. My GP's nurse didn't know the answer to it so I presume it's not such an ignorant question and I've been unable to find the answer online. Once you're on Zoladex, and assuming you're in good health, can you ever come off it? I presume the answer is no. I'm on enzalutamide daily.

I am not a doctor but I am on Zoladex and expect to have a break from Zoladex after two years. I may later become castrate resistant instead of castrate sensitive then would have to come off first generation Zoladex for a second generation injection or tablet. I presume that Tall_Allen or some other person will give you advice soon.
Unless you are using it with curative RT, you are on it for life. Vacations are ok if you need them.
I am on three month Zoladex and have been for three years. My oncologist and I have agreed that I will be on it for life. Neither of us wants to give the cancer any chance to rise again.
Hello, My oncologist told me that once you get on the ADT train you don't get off it. You can add things to the train and you might be able to take things off it but you don't get off the train. I have been on Zoladex (goserelin) train for eight years and five months. Not fun but given the alternative...
I can confirm what Allen wrote. I had one subcutaneous injection of Zoladex prior to my SRT a year ago.
Yep, me too, on it for about 8 years
I have been on Zoladex for 7 years now ,even though I was castrate resistant 3 years into usage. My ONC added Xtendi to the mix, The answer is you will be on it for life with additions or updates . But it has kept me alive so far. Good luck.
Thank you to everybody who has commented.
