Considering this after a successful six sessions of LU-177 (Pluvicto), but now PSA is rising quickly. Thanks.

If Pluvicto worked well for you, additional cycles will usually work well too. I would use Xtandi as maintenance therapy during and after Pluvicto. Get two cycles and then check with a PSMA PET/CT how well it worked.

my guy is starting Pluvicto March 30, But his doctor said he has to come off his Xtandi during the treatment. Actually said he has to be off of it for 30 days before he starts. Are there doctors that allow patients to stay on other cancer meds during treatment?

This advice is wrong, do not stop Xtandi! Xtandi increases the PSMA expression and makes Pluvicto more effective:

Xtandi doubles overall survival in combination mit Pluvicto.

thank you for this. I’ll research it and speak to his doctors.

Listen to his doctor. If course you can ask why he recommends stopping or adding what he does, but nobody knows your husband better than his doctor.

I wish I could say that is true. But my mother died after a routine heart catheterization. That’s when I learned that you have to watch everything like a hawk. I had an extra 2 1/2 years with my father because I didn’t trust everything the doctors did and double checked everything. The first Doctor that diagnosed him said he would not have chemo because he was too far along. When I pointed out a study from the University of Virginia that showed that chemo extended the life significantly she backpedaled and agreed. Of course I got him away from her. But doctors are not all knowing. And if you completely trust them you’re making a mistake. I learned that the hard way. Sorry if that sounds cynical. But it has been my experience.
