RISING PSA

Just want to add. My last bone scan was September 2022, results were negative, no sign of cancer in bones. Last Prostate MRI was September 2022, was told cancer still contained in capsule.

Patients who follow the standard of care live much longer than patients using alternative therapy only. This means no combination of SOC and alternative therapy.

Your quickly rising PSA tells you it is too late now. It was never going to stay contained forever.

Bone scans and CT scans have a very low detection rate for metastases. You could request a PSMA PET/CT to see if the cancer has metastasized. You could consider to consult with an oncologist about your situation.

Good news...here is my 'woulda-shoulda-coulda' list of things I will do next time around this life (if that ever happens)...but consider my journey and take from it what makes sense or what fits. If I could go back I would do a lot, a heck of a lot, differently. Also, there is a link to a really great map of testing that is available, what the tests are, when they should be used and what purpose they serve. If you dont ask for these tests your Dr will not prescribe them. If you think you need them push for them. Thanks

Again, I am not trying to scare you, or be a pessimist, or rain on your parade...all looks good now and none of this advice will be needed...but put it away and if for some reason you come back around to these milestones take a look and if you can, learn from my case history. That is the purpose of this forum. Also, look at the many genomic tests that can help you monitor this disease with the most confidence. I asked for some of these tests back in the day but was put off by my Dr; dont accept that. Good luck and let us know how things progress...so far it looks great!

Did your insurance cover those genomic tests or did you have to pay out of pocket? Thanks.

I never got the chance to find out. It was hurry up and get surgery or quick, get radiation but seldom was it possible to pause, measure and then decide.

I had to insist on a PSMA PET scan before my RT (radiation) and for a while it looked like my RO Dr was not going to give me a script; for that test I had worked out a cash price. Many times the cash price is high but a lot lower than u think.

I just read your profile. You have two start dates for Casodex a year apart.

Write me privately about fenbendazole. No one else here has any interest in it. I'll tell you what I know.
