Casodex time

Hello once again, my father started taking Casodex 50 mg daily on 08/01/2023 and got first injection of Zoladex 3,6 mg on 13/01/2023. His MO said that he can take Casodex for 1 month. I read that Casodex, in this case, is used to prevent testosterone flare but it is usually taken before Zoladex and not after? Did anyone of you take Casodex after Zoladex injection?

I understand he started Casodex on the 8th of January 2023 and Zoladex on the 13th of January 2023. The testosterone flare occurs for one or two weeks after the Zoladex injection and this can be mitigated by taking Casodex in combination with Zoladex during that time.

Yes on May 8, 2004. PSA 32.6, Nuclear Bone Scan showed two Mets at T3 & L2. Received 3 month injection of 22.5 mg Lupron then filled the script for Casodex. Took 50 mg on May 9th. PSA dropped to 7.3 on June 7, 2004 and 3.0 on July 5, 2004 and another 3 month injection of Lupron. Took Casodex for 30 days. Heal well.

I took casodex for three weeks before starting Lupron, then continued casodex for another three weeks after beginning Lupron before stopping casodex permanently.

I took bicalutamide for 2 weeks before my first Prostap (Lupron) injection and for a further 2 weeks after.
