I would be surprised if an estimate could be given with zero supporting facts other than prostate cancer and DIC. Here is an article whereby an 80 year old gentleman was successfully treated for his DIC.

DIC is a serious development and needs aggressive treatment with careful monitoring. Questions about statistical lifespan not being the point. Is he in the hospital?

yea he is in the hospital. Contuine’s to receive platelets, blood , along with plasma. He has a bleed in brain. To be corrected on Wednesday. The DIC is actively aggressively attacking. The reason for the precious’s question for the time span is simple looking for data . The concerns are when they close up the vessel that is bleeding the dic will move to another area. He realizes this. He today developed headache. Cat scan done no results as of right now. We know that in order to correct the dic we must control the underlying issue. ( castrate resident prorate cancer) Chemo tomorrow as well. He is unable to handle a full dose at once so they take one dose Divide into three dose’s.

very critical juncture. Glad he is getting the very best of care. Hope he can pull through this current crisis and have a brighter span of living in clearer skies beyond. Stay close to him as it must be very frightening. 💕🙏

Please define abbreviations when first used. FYI for everyone else - Disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) is a pathological systemic condition resulting from aberrant activation of the coagulation system. It is characterised by the release and activation of procoagulants into the blood, with an associated consumption coagulopathy.
