which doc to consult?

hi all,

we are seeking second opinion from Tata Memorial, Mumbai for my father (age 67, gleason score 7, PSA 235, metastasized PC).

Which kind of doc should we consult? a Surgical Oncologist, Medical Oncologist or Radiation oncologist?

did your father do regular CT scan plus bone scan or a PET scan?

Where did his scans show the spread ?

My father has a urologist , a oncologist and a radiation oncologist. He went to the urologist to get diagnosed and then was automatically give the second two doctors

he got a PET scan. It showed spread to his lymph nodes and one bone i suppose. He is already getting treatment from Medanta, Gurgaon but we are seeking a second opinion from Tata Medical Mumbai. Will update his entire diagnosis in my profile soon.

sounds similar to my fathers.. 3 lymph nodes they see and maybe one questionable spot on bone. Keep me posted ! My father starts radiation today as he continues to stay on firmagon
