Hello , Ive been on Eligard , Abi. , pred. since 02/22 . 1--250mg + 5mg pred w/ light meal . So my psa labs at V.A. were <.02 on 04/22 then on 08/22 were <.01 and recent 11/22 they are <.04 . So my question is , when to worry . Should I consider doing the 4 pills 1,000mg of Zytiga to see if this changes anything ? or switch to dex to replace pred ? I see my MO at VA this Wednesday to discuss . I guess I will have see if this will be a trend ? Thanks

As long as your PSA has the less than sign ("<"), they are all telling you the same thing, that your PSA is undetectable. Try to get your PSAs at the same lab. PSAs don't mean anything for you as long as it is remains under 0.1 while you are taking Zytiga, and under 1.0 when you stop Zytiga.

Why not go to full dose Zytiga. Then no worries. No questions.

I am no expert but you have been on Zytiga a relatively short period. I would doubt it is failing due to PC feeding on Prednisone.

If you take full dose Zytiga and the prednisone and follow Tall Allen's suggestion you should be fine. You can at least properly monitor over the long run.

Too low to mess with. Excellent response. Only if it went to 0.10 would be an opportunity to go to full 1,000 mg Abi to see if dose makes any difference.

We’re you a recon ranger, BTW? Thank you for your service.

Maybe I will ask my MO on wednesday to do monthly psa. But V.A. are very frugal . I might have to do on my own . Thanks

I have gotten labs on my own through Life Extensions.

Results generally come back in a short amount of time...no waiting to see Dr.

When I got to Okinawa , they volunteered me to Camp Schwab , 3rd Recon , R.I.P school , Boot Camp on Steroids . Went to Nam and 3rd Recon was going home . So I was with the grunts , Bravo 1/5 and Charlie 1/1. I was in top shape but those Que-Son mts. kicked our young asses .

Don't think anyone has the one size fits all answers. I was diagnosed a year ago with stage 4 PC. Gleason score of eight. My psa was over 8000. I was backed up so bad I was in stage 4 renal kidney failure. Well, they treated my kidneys. Have stints put inThey pit me on lupron one shot every three months. 1000mg zytiga once daily,5mg prednisone. Psa is now at .79. Since then they have found a mass in my kidney

Went in and did a superselective imbolism of the mass using bland particles, directly after that they went in and microwaved it. Long story short throw everything you g o t in your arsenal at itit aims to get you. Get it first. Positive attitude goes a long way

Just don't give up. Don't ever give up. Refuse to loose
