Unexplained PSA drop.

* 07/24/22 PSA - 0.97

* 08/24/22 PSA - 1.31

* 09/13/22 PSMA PET

two new bone mets detected- PSMA avid sclerotic lesion in sacrum on left side and left iliac bone,

* 09/15/22 - PSA - 1.69

* 11/03/22 - PSA - 1.08 <-- how?

We got a new PSA report today and it dropped to 1.08 .

There has been no change in any medications or dosage ( abi + pred+ lupron)

I am puzzled at this drop in PSA.

Wondering if we should get another PSA test just to make sure there wasn't a machine error or something.

I wouldnt make much of it. I had two drops in PSA caused by diet over my 11 years history.

oh interesting. Didn't realize diet can have an effect on PSA values.

It doesn't have much effect normally. but I intentionally tried to consume a lot of lycopene-rich foods at intense levels during those periods. The drops were not very significant nor was I able to sustain them..
