cardio and cramp

I wonder if anyone had any advice on calf cramps. My husband 51, with aPC is on Daralutomide and ADT and just finished 6 cycles of docetaxel, is keen to ramp up his cardio and weight training. The problem is whenever he tries to run or play tennis or even go on cross trainer he gets a cramp in his calf and can’t carry on. He’s very conscious of how important cardio is to his condition and apart from the cramp is extremely fit. He stretches meticulously and takes magnesium and hydrates so much. Anyone got any experience/advice.

He’s already doing a lot. The only thing which comes to my mind would be visiting a physiotherapist. When I was on multiple therapies I suffered a lot, too. My physio helped me out.

I would go to an osteopath. They've done wonders for me.

I would be concerned about a muscle cramp that was only on one side that occurred with exercise. To me this sounds like something we call claudication. It is caused by a partial block in a blood vessel to that muscle. When the muscle requires more oxygen as with exercise you get pain that usually resolves pretty quickly with rest.
