Is steroid in skin treatment cream/ointment harmful to prostate cancer patients?

I am wondering if these ointments/creams with steroid such as

Fluocinonide 0.05%

Clobetasol propionate 0.05%

Triamcinolone 0.1%

harmful to prostate cancer patients?

Very low systemic penetration from dermal steroids.

Avoid using clobetasol on sensitive areas such as face, groin, and underarms for more than 2 weeks at a time without a break. The skin in these areas is usually thinner than other parts of the body and the use of high potency topical steroids in these areas is not recommended. Avoid use of any topical steroid on open wounds or debrided skin to prevent unwarranted absorption. I have used them all to treat eczema or psoriasis for years without issue. TA is right.

Overuse of any of these can leave to skin thinning and weakness. Systemic effects on PCa are negligible

Many of us who are old and take prednisone with abiraterone have tender skin, especially on our forearms, that bruises, cuts, and bleeds very easily. There have been a few threads on this subject. In one thread, one of our brothers reported that DerMend Mature Skin Solution (fragile skin moisturizing formula) seemed to help this condition. I tried it, I agree that it helps, and I've been applying it to my forearms after each shower for about a year.

I looked up the ingredients, and there is a zillion of them. None of them look like steroids to me. but I'm far from being a biochemist. So if anyone who has some understanding of this fields cares to look at the ingredients and opine regarding potentially harmful ingredients, I'll be very alert to that.

hi Gearhead, I was also on Zytiga and prednisone for 18 months ended Jan of 2019. I seem to have chronic dry skin, started about a year ago, which results in itchiness. Wounds seem to take forever to heal and infection complicated healing even more.
