mpc stage 4. I am on Lupron and Xtandi

I have been having an urge to urinate but not much urine comes out. I get up 4 to 5 times at night. I am scheduled to see my oncologist next month. I was wondering if these meds are the cause.

Hi Carplake, speaking from my Father's experience. In his case he had trouble urinating/pain first and then started taking Lupron & Xtandi to relieve the symptoms.

Once his pain came back after 6 months he went back to the Oncologist. At this point he was declared "Castration Resistant", meaning the Lupron & Xtandi was no longer working for him.

Not saying this what's happening in your situation, but I'm just stating what my father went through. Wishing you best of luck in your journey!

If you are not able to empty your bladder, go to the ER and tell them you need to be cathetered for urinary retention. A burst bladder is life-threatening.

I’ve been on Lupron Xtandi for 44 months … I urinate, sometimes , every 20 minutes . I urinate freely except my bladder doesn’t seem to hold much. Maybe one of your metastasis / tumors are pressing on something. I have heard of numerous men on the group that have the same issues tho.

You’ll definitely want to get a urgent medical professional look at your problem, today rather than next month. As usual , TA is spot on.

no bladder infection
