I was on monthly Lupron injections & switched to 3 month injections. so far have had 2 tri monthly injections with no problems,, taking 750 mg of abiraterone daily, 10 mg statin, flomax & 5mg Proscar. Original PSA over 900. PSA holding at 0.1 for about 9 months, I have not noticed any difference from tri monthly to monthly, except, 3 month injection being more convenient.
THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY.I HAVN'T ANY PROBLEM WITH THE INJECTIONS WHICH I WAS HAVING EACH MONTH AND WORKING WELL. I HAVE JUST BEEN ON APALUTAMIDE WHICH IS 4 TABLETS TO BE TAKEN ALL AT ONCE DAILY, MY INJECTIONS ARE NOW ONCE EVERY 3 MONTHS.
I AM A BIT CONCERNED AS THIS NEW MEDICATION CAN EFFECT OTHER MEDS YOU MAY BE ON , SO I HAVE TO KEEP AN EYE ON BLOOD PRESSURE / COLESTEROL / I ALSO HAVE TO TAKE EXTRA VITAMINS FOR MY BONES AS THE NEW MED ALSO WEAKENS
BONE STRUCTURE. NOT SURE IF ITS WORTH THE HASSLE AS DON'T WANT TO MESS UP MY OTHER MEDS AND HEALTH ISSUES I AM ON PRIOR TO THE CANCER
I ONLY HAVE BEEN ON IT FOR 2 WEEKS BUT A BIT CONCERNED.
Thanks. It is given for newly diagnosed metastatic prostate cancer. Side effects can include a skin rash, but if you have no side effects, that is good. The only way is to try it and see.
