Travel Insurance from the UK ?

Hi everybody. I have my last cycle of chemotherapy next week and I have booked a holiday to Mexico after that. It is only now I am trying to get travel insurance as my current policy is for Europe only. I either get flat refused for quotation or prices of around £2,000! Does anyone have any recommendations of reasonably priced insurance? I know I should have done this before booking the holiday but I travelled to Europe earlier in the year and got a year cover for just over £40!!!!🤷‍♂️

You'll be safe in Mexico if you stay in the hotel complex and if you go out on trips stay with the group. You should have agreat holiday. Try All clear or quotezone.co.uk for insurance.

Mexico is as safe as anywhere. My thoughts on your insurance is to not declare the cancer as they will not cover know ailments anyways. They are charging you for it in that quote but won't cover it. I would look into it that way but it may not work anyways.

You must declare everything otherwise your insurance will be void if you need to claim. I know by experience.

It is an alien concept to us in the UK Kaliber to even own a gun never mind walk around with it! I went in to my local "Maggie's" cancer charity centre to ask for help. I know them very well by now and said "I bet you have something on how to get holiday insurance with cancer?" and sure enough they did. They had a pre-prepared document and I managed to get a full year's multi-trip insurance for myself and my son for £260!!!

Being “ armed “ doesn’t necessarily mean carrying a gun. I carry a Taser self defense weapon most of the time. Most of my street issues come from aggressive homeless people , most ( the aggressive ones ) are active schizophrenics ( A substantial amount of the homeless people here are developmentally disabled ) . My one state of California alone, has half the total population of the entire U.K. . When you have the situation of a homeless person getting in the face of an obvious biker type … you “ know “ things for that homeless person aren’t normal. I’m not out to hurt anyone, so less than lethal is the way to go for me.

I’m sure your trip to Mexico will be mostly fine if you stay in the guarded resort confines and off the local city streets. You can always ask around and see how conditions are where you are. The resort will likely sponsor trips to the local economy if things are safe. I hope you have a great , fun filled, trip brother.

❤️❤️❤️

We have way, way more shootings here in the US then Mexico. I find it laughable to have a warning, when people can't even go to school or the grocery store in America.

Homicides wise : USA 2021 = 24, 576. CDC.gov ….. Mexico 2021 = 43,964 statists.com . Roughly twice as many homicide deaths in Mexico ….and even more , lately , as the new cartel battles have moved into the densely populated areas along the border .

Most dangerous cities in USA are all back East with the exception of Oakland here in California. Of Total homicides , California is 18th on a list of top 20. Places like St Louis, Baltimore, NOLA, and Detroit topping the list.

That seems odd since California is the highest populated state of all.

Just say’in

there were 594 homicides in 2021 in England and in Wales. We have a high population density but are very small in relation to the US. I wonder how many homicides are by people with guns who are drunk or under the influence of drugs?

Not what you're looking for?
