I was very late getting an Rx refill and found out I did just as well without it. Nice to be able to drop one of my many meds.

Good for you! Looking forward to that day myself when it arrives.

Me too! I'm using Tamsulosin intermittently to avoid the SEs I get of heart arrhythmias and I find after about 2 days without it that the flow slows down so I still need it unfortunately.

Good to hear. Hopefully I'll get there in couple of years too.

i dropped it too, did nothing for me. after radiation there are all sorts of possible encumbrances to urination including radiation cystitis. Relaxing the muscles around the urethra is not likely to help much.

Unfortunately I am having a heck of a time after my EBRT, up at least 9 times a night even with Flomax. Had read that a NSAID will help urethra swelling so may give that a try.

I don't know if this is really true just the opinion of one doctor. I have severe degenerative disc disease and scoliosis (lateral) that shocked me on the last CT scan. The only reason I can walk is that I bicycle regularly and it seems to keep my core strong and balanced? If I stop biking for three days I can barely move. So I had been taking NSAIDS for inflammation thinking that they would also make me pee better. Well the doc says the opposite is true and that anti-inflammatory drugs reduce flow. So now it is just bearing the pain and if too bad (very occasionally) taking morphine sulphate.

Another interesting point it that supposedly aberaterone prevents the conversion of codeine to morphine which is what actually reduces the pain. So I was taking oxy codone for a while and it did nothing was wondering why until someone on this group explained the reason.
