An oncologist told me last week that if you get provenge that might make you ineligible for trials in the future related to newer Treatments for immunotherapy. Would monoclonal antibody infusion for CV 19 make you an eligible as well?
Does monoclonal antibody infusion for... - Advanced Prostate...
Does monoclonal antibody infusion for cv19 prevent us from eligibility for cutting edge immunotherapy for prostate cancer?
Hmmm that would make logical sense.
Damned if I do, damned if I don't.
Not that I am aware of. I had three shots of the Pfizer vaccine and was permitted to start my trial #2, the BiTE immunotherapy trial.
Hello, I am about to start a BiTE trial at Sarah Cannon with new drug JANX007. I am really nervous about this as i will be the first person in The United States to get it. Did you or have any adverse aide effects with the trial you are on?
Thanks
Eddie
the side effects were very severe and could have been worse. The trial protocol requires each man to be an inpatient in the hospital for the first 10 days. The reason is that with some men blood pressure drops so low they have to be moved to the ICU.
I was not one of those men, but Google side effects of cytokine release syndrome and you will see what I dealt with.
Unfortunately I was one of the approximately 50% of men who did not respond to the BiTE trial drugs. But those who do are seeing an incredible, durable response.
Best wishes to you!
My husband had Evusheld, and was told that would not affect his eligibility for any PC treatment.
Get Provenge as soon as you can. The only PC immunotherapy already shown to work. Extends OS an average of 13+ months in “real world” experience. Would not pass that up and wish I could get it at HSPC.
I got Provenge treatment in 2012, and it makes me ineligible for Keytruda trial.
