What is your experience with Xgeva. After 14 years of hormone treatment with Dr. Myers after radiation have developed bone mets. Current oncologist recommends Xgeva. Does it work? Will VA or Medicare cover? I am 100% service connected disabled with VA due to Agent Orange.

Xgeva for Bone mets from Prostate Cancer. (Gleason 9)
I am also 100% service connected disabled with VA due to Agent Orange. My experience with the VA is this; if my oncologist at the VA deems that I need a drug for treatment, it's a done deal. Wish i could tell you more.
Been on Xgeva five months. No bad experience to note. Need to take calcium supplement, like Citracal slow release. Bone mets significantly reduced, but could be chemo done concurrently.
I have been on Xgeva for about 6 months. No bad side effects. Hope it works.
My dad is on it and it’s good no issues or problems has been on it for 2 years
Xgeva has worked wonders for my husband. Doctors say he had a miraculous healing in his bones where the cancer is or was. He is 100% disabled ...Agent Orange. He hasn't had issues with his healthcare paying. He doesn't use VA healthcare. It would surely save us money but he is oneway. He has been on xgeva longer than 3 years so he will be the future stats for xgeva. He is taking it once every 3 months now. Discussing once every 6 months because there is no data after so many years of being on it. He saw Dr. Myers also. He started him on Xgeva. Best Wishes Superheat.
