Hello!

Has anyone had any experience with Dr. Boyd Viers at Mayo? He has had my husband doing 6 weeks of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. 6 weeks after that he will insert dye into the urethra and the suprapubic catheter to see if the stricture has healed enough for him to perform a reconstruction. If it hasn’t healed enough Dan will have a urostomy. Just wondering if anyone else has been down this road and what their experience was?

My husband is currently receiving hyperbaric oxygen treatments. He is to receive 40 treatments in total. He has completed 12 and his radiation cystitis is incredibly improved. He watches movies and doesn’t seem to mind it.

He is having his treatments locally in SE Wisconsin though, not Rochester. He has to take off a few days when we go to Rochester for Pluvicto.

Wow he is very fortunate to be able to tell an improvement! Dan has completed 25 treatments and only notices improved eyesight. We are hoping there’s healing happening inside. He is doing his HBOT locally too and will head to Rochester about 6 weeks after treatment is done.
