I’ve been on bicalutamide mono therapy Lupron vacation for 10 months. PSA remains <0.01 but T isn’t rising above 120. Presumably the PC in my SV remains senescent.
My concern is if I get a dental implants and/or a knee replacement will my bones heal with the low T level? Thoughts? Experiences? Thanks.
They will still heal. Testosterone is not required for healing. I've never seen evidence that women (who have little testosterone) don't heal as well as men (who have much more testosterone).
The ladies have estrogen. I thought one or the other is needed for bone repair.
Not needed, although those steroids probably help. Men on ADT still heal well. If you are on bicalutamide monotherapy, your estrogen levels are probably high anyway.

To be sure get a DEXA scan to see if you have severe osteopenia or osteoporosis. Dental implants may not do well if there is osteoporosis (T value > -2.5) . Your doctor could order the DEXA scan. Your dentist and orthopedic surgeon will give you a definite answer having the DEXA information.
Tango is spot on here. Have you had Dexa scans? knowing if you have osteopenia/osteoporosis is what is important.
You’ll heal with low T, but you need to know what you’re working with.
How much exercise do you do and what kind? How much fat are you carrying? The Dexa tells that also-very valuable information.
Dwight's wife here. Not the same thing, but I have had osteoporosis for years. I don't take any of the osteoporosis drugs. I had a hip replacement almost a year ago and it healed just fine. I am currently in the process of getting an implant. The bone in the area where the implant is being done was very thin. The oral surgeon did a bone graft. I'm still in the healing process from the gone graft, but assume everything will be fine.

FYI- I had my knee replacement after being on ADT for several years. I don't know what my T levels were at the time. While I have issues with excessive scar tissue (which impacts complete flexion and causes some pain), I don't think the ADT negatively impacted me at all. Over the years since the surgery, I have gone skiing (in GREAT pain) played golf, played LOTS of tennis and can still ride a bike (although the lack of flexion forces me to raise the seat to the maximum).
Side-note, had surgery on my c-spine to have a couple disc's replaced with artificial ones little over a month ago. The surgeon commented that the vertebral bones in my neck were soft, most likely because of the low testosterone (RP in Oct '17, then discovered it was metastatic, started ADT in July of '18, and did 40 sessions of RT from Sept thru Nov that same year. Finished ADT in April of '19). Still hasn't said he expected any issues with healing because of it, but he did comment on it.

Is that 10 months since your last injection or last date of effectiveness? If it's injection, you're right on course. Otherwise, you're only a bit low
But be careful if you're pregnant......

I am wondering if anyone ever had a hemangioma removed. It is more painful than the bone mets and affects my leg strength . I has been a pain for years, and I put it off as stenosis, or a crushed disc. With the onset of prostate cancer, and bone scans, if finally can be confirmed. I don't know about others, but the ability to twist and reach the spot where the toilet paper belongs gets harder month by month...lol
What is the dose of bicalutamide that you take? 50 mg or 150 mg?
Have been on ADT vacation for 22 months. My T really slow rising the first 12. Upwards it still moves even on my last blood work a month ago. Even though it doesn't affect anything with what you are doing just an FYI so you know it takes a while to clean this stuff out.
