Thanks for the article. I'm wondering how this new class relates to Prostate Stem Cell Antigen (PSCA) expression, since I'm moving forward with the PSCA CAR-T trial at City of Hope. I'm going to see if I can read the Science article at the local university library.

I searched for stem cell-like prostate cancer and found a bunch of articles discussing the similarities of prostate stem cells and prostate cancer cells. Looks like a new area for me to learn about.

How did they test you on cancer PSCA expression?

Thanks. There's an Immunohistochemisyry ( IHC)!stain for the antigen. Mine showed over 85% of the cells in my original biopsy sample expressing it

Thanks for the article.So is the SCL type not connected to the androgen dependent type ? It seems like the majority of us are all androgen dependent which obviously are the aggressive majority of our cancers. I guess i am wondering if we have both androgen dependent and SCL type.

Very, very exciting. I wonder if once a subtype always the same subtype. We know that androgen-dependent PCa can eventually find a way to get around ADT. As it does, does the androgen dependent PCa become more like SCL? Or at least more vulnerable to SCL treatments under development?

Thank you for this post, which findings in the future may be transformative for the heavily treated with androgen receptor blockers. As others have asked I was wondering what type of prostatic tissue is required ie just prostate gland or metastasis? As Dr Chen is my MO I will ask him and also inquire what drugs are being considered for clinical trial.
