Undecided Or Advice Please.

Four months ago I finished ADT Firmagon which reduced the PSA to 0.38 & I took time out. I decided to use Phytoesrogen cream to keep the PSA down, because the E2 patch is not available here.

PSA came back at 0.48 only days ago so I think the cream worked because past history shows my PSA would be 5 or 6 in that time.

The MO warned me against it saying I might get breast cancer etc & told me to STOP using it because they wanted to see what the cancer is doing in the lymph nodes.

I thought it was all about keeping the PSA numbers as low as possible. What do you think?

Estrogen cream won't give you breast cancer. There must be compounding pharmacies in Australia.

Thanks for the reply Tall_allen. Here in Oz it needs a prescription at a compounding pharmacy & no GP or MO will write one because it has not been approved here.If you do not mind me asking, what do you think of my MO opinion to stop using the cream to see what the lymph nodes are doing with the cancer uptake?

I have never had such a low PSA & would like to keep it that way.

What's the point of letting the cancer grow in your lymph nodes or anywhere else?

What about stabilizing your PSA at a low level via an appropriate dose of Bicalutamide?

Check what I am currently doing:

Thanks Justfor_, I read your previous post about Bicalutamide & I have tried casodex before & could not tolerate it but given time it might be time to try again.

What is the "Phytoesrogen cream" that you are taking and what is the evidence that it has an active estrogen in it?

Also, if you are in the Melbourne area there is research underway there on PCa patients taking transdermal estradiol (tE2). I know that patients can get tE2 scripts from at least one of the MD researchers in that group. Message me directly and I can fill you in more.

Get a consult with a prostate cancer oncologist at Peter Mac if you can.
