Loss of appetite

Good morning - my dad started Xofigo Wednesday , he has zero appetite , he is drinking some to stay hydrate - he doesn’t feel nausea - just has zero appetite - anything I can ask dr about or anything to help ?

If he just isn't hungry, just a little "grass" can give him the munchies... Other than that just get whatever he likes best---ice cream, etc, are great...

yea- we have tried the delta 8 gummies- but we are taking a break from them right now since he is on morphine and norco

Delta 8. Darn it. Not the real thing and is missing not only potency but various enhancements for mood and appetite.Whether Delta8 or the real thing cannabis is not a narcotic and normally does not negatively amplify the effects of the narcotic pain killers.

I was thinking the same thing. If I was a foreigner moving to states I would make sure it was a legal state but those here with family, jobs, financial restrictions are stuck with the damn hands delt by their state government.

I’m no fan of any form of government . City, state , national! Once their fingers get into something they destroy it . I don’t go to dispensaries ever . A total ripoff for a poor guy . Luckily for me I have my life long friend a generous legal grower providing me for my small needs.. once the ric( can spend $50 fir an 1/8th ounce … legally growing in the ca emerald triangle requires the grower to sell to the government at $600 per Lb, then it is sold and broken down into many thousands $$$$$$ of profits for the dispensaries . The fist time that I had a med card and went to a dispensary as in Durango Co. Walked out with a $500 bag of edibles and junk . It was such a high cost waste of money . Anyone can go to nor cal and grab outdoor Lbs for $600 per . That’s the same cheap pr that the low budge mexi weed still sells for today . Nobody wants that shit anymore either . I just got indoor purple haze that set me straight . I Was smoking 2 ozs per week . But , Copious monsoons brought huge pollen to the west . This in combo with high springtime winds has choked me out with asthma for two weeks . I stopped smoking . Luckily for us a friend here is an expert at Thc chocolate . I’m grooving on that now until the pollen abates . I Just love he ritual of the smoking . With a good friend , nothing better . Some day we will break bread together and discuss the good things in the world! 🙏✌️🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊

Hemp. That would be ditch weed lol.

Unless there are exceptions Im not aware of Hemp in its true definition is marijuana devoid of thc, terpenes, various cannabinoids, etc.

Although no thc it may contain low levels of cbd.

Hemp is devoid of everything that makes cannabis a lovely medication and or recreational indulgence.

Although some find the cbd concentrated from hemp and contained in creams/lotions to be of benefit rubbed onto painful joints/body parts.

On the other hand the term hemp can have a loose definition so some may say hemp no matter what type of marijuana they are referring to.

Cures? I wouldn’t say that.. My Nat Doc says soy shouldn’t be a prime source of protein for us but a hand full of edamame or some soy hot dogs or some tofu per day can helps hot flashes Sam- helped pull me out of total lethargy .. I’ve done a twice daily maintenance dose of high Thc oil all seven years .. Smoking a strong indica calms me and helps detour my daily nausea due to my adt pills . It also will calm me when I get a bad mood… I Take 20 mgs melatonin and a 4.5 naltrexone pre bed time each night per the Nat doc again . These two in combo with the Thc oil spark my libido at night as I sleep . I have vivid dreams . Not sexual though . I’m like a teenage boy with nightwood most of the night .My penis ,just like the muscles I used to have has shrank in half . No big thing! And ive got no balls . I’m up every 90 minutes to pee . Ive been like this ever since I removed the foley in 2016 and a half. Maybe I’m just a freak .? This libido doesn’t translate well to my wife . She hasn’t got near since 2017 .. but I don’t blame her . My body is shot . Severing neuropathy and joint pains hit me hard also at night . She tolerates me somewhat . Our wifes suffer with us .. NRG is a problem without t . That was a driving force …. Now? Who knows ? Take care

It requires a forward-thinking MO - estrogen patches reduce the hot flashes. Libido and lack of energy could be addressed with selective androgen receptor modulators. But they are experimental and not many doctors would consider them (my MO is a rare exception).

Estrogen patches also keep or even increase your bone density (in two sites mine went down a little but at a very reduced rate, and it one site it went up by a fair amount).

I'm not sure about brain fog. Estrogen doesn't help a lot with that but it does help with depression and other mental issues.

SARMs

Summary

SARMs are a relatively new class of AR ligands. They are intended to have the same kind of effects as androgenic drugs, such as anabolic-androgenic steroids, but be more selective in their action.

My personal experience with SARMs is that a few weeks of a combination of Rad-140 at doses of 20 mg/day and Ostarine at doses of 25 mg/day does not interfere with ADT (or the low phase of BAT). HDL cholesterol decreased but I didn’t notice any other dramatic changes in my blood labs.

Thanks RSH1 for the detailed reply. We can not have E2 patches here for some reason so I have Phytoestrogen cream & my next blood test is in June so will not know if it works until then but remain positive.

I’m on Xofigo too. My appetite is pretty normal. I’d ask the Doctor about the loss of appetite. It’s not listed as a common side effect and there may be another issue. Good luck!

Yes I know it’s not listed - I think he has something going on with stomach - with all narcotics I think his stomach is messed up
