Good afternoon everyone. I haven’t seen the full report but it looks like overall Xofigo has worked well. I’ll find out all the details on the 22nd. Thankful to see the words significant improvement. That surely beats the last one in February. Hopefully we have this beast on the run at least for a little while. Continued prayers for you all.

Which PET scan?

FDG PET

I asked because it is usually bone scan/CT rather than a PET scan. But I guess if FDG is the one that you have baseline data from, it makes sense to continue with it. Of the PET scans, NaF(18) PET is much better at detecting more bone metastases, but I don't know what the value is in detecting more of them. And Medicare no longer pays for NaF.

Hello BigTex,

I always love to read good news.

As I understand it, Xofigo was originally developed and prescribed only as a palliative treatment for reducing pain. However, experience with real patients who had lots of bone metastases and few or no soft tissue metastases showed that knocking down bone metastases via Xofigo could extend life. People not only suffer with bone metastases, but it appears that cancer in the bones can kill people and suppressing it can help them live.

I've very glad it worked well for you.

Best of luck for the future.

Alan

Hey Bigatex how are you doing? Can I ask dud your PSA reduce after the Xofigo treatments ended?

Good morning we saw a reduction in the size of the metastasis. My PSA has t gone down yet. Thule you thought that was due to the Xofigo still being in my system. Hopefully it’s lower in February.

Catching up with your treatment. How are you feeling today? Hope you are doing well!

Good morning. My MO changed me from Xtandi to Erleada last month. That was bad for about a week then seemed to calm down. Last week he changed my shot from zolodex to Lupron now that has sucked for about a week. Hopefully my body will adjust soon. My last PET was an improvement. Hopefully we see more of that in March with the next one. The PSA is still goi g up but the DR wasn’t too concerned with that happening with the Xofigo doing it’s job.

It sounds like your team is very reassuring, that's super for you. Does your doctor feel the Xofigo can still be working on the bones this far since ur last infusion? It's very difficult to find information anywhere online relating to this topic 😔
