I had my PET scan on wed, I also visited the daycare center about the pain in my Ribs lower back and Femurs, Oncologist prescribed Morphine and I will see a pain specialist on the 2nd July, I'm feeling a lot more comfortable and less pain now.
I saw my GP this morning and she said the results from PET scan say a reduction in bone Mets (first scan shows every bone has Mets), I'll have to wait until I see the Oncologist for the full breakdown but it's a huge weight off my mind to know it's positive results, specially as I was struggling with the pain and thinking all kinds of negative crap.

I worry about Morphine side effects. (Previous experience).
The only treatment that REALLY helped MY continuing extreme bone pain has been 100mg a day of CBD spread over every 6 hrs. Continues to control 70% of my pain and allows me to sleep. No side effects. About 8 months now and plan to continue.
As needed I take Norco but try to minimize to save it for later. Helps with certain type of pain but side effects.
I've been using CBD oil for a month, it has helped with stress but not the pain, The Morphine has helped the back pain but still feeling pain in Ribs and Femurs, it's more manageable pain now but still considerable pain (Before I could hardly walk).
Doctor has tried all kinds of pain meds to little or no effect, I'll see a pain specialist on the 2nd, maybe he can help me without relying on Morphine.
The only other thing I am doing is an Alkaline Treatment which by itself reduced PSA from 1300+ down to 362 in 12 days before I started Lupron.
But MY extreme pain only helped when I approached the 100mg of CBD daily. Drops on 1/2 oyster cracker under tongue. It does take abt 100mg a day to just manage MY pain so I get some decent sleep. Less=more pain, more=spent more $ needlessly. Maybe slowly edge dosage up. I think consistency important to build a system level. If you get to 250mg with no results give up.
I've referred CBD to many others who were helped with pain and sleep but did not do anything for anyone's arthritic pain? Different "types" of pain, different treatments.
I've continued both CBD and AT but cannot test any further since other changes now involved. I'm not doing anything that might bring the pain back to forefront just for fun.
No idea if they work together or only uniquely.
Sorry it may not work for you but no harm I've ever heard of trying.
No it's not, I was tested for Arthritis a couple of years ago because I had Trigger Finger issues. Bone marrow was badly compromised in both Femurs, that and the Rib pain was my first symptoms that I went to the doctor with, PSA test came out at 1386.
Compared to prescription drugs the CBD it's very expensive, After 300 Euros (in a year) of prescription drugs I'm then heavily subsidised for drugs and I paid 25 cents for the Morphine
Glad to see you had a reduction. Hope you keep going in the right direction.
I have a similar history as you. I found the bulk of the pain was from inflammation, so anti-inflammatories are my first line of defense against pains and niggles. I used 50mg (cut 100mg capsules in half) Celecoxib (Celebrex) two or 3 times a day with great effect (no pain killers at all), and then moved to 25mg or 50mg diclofenac twice a day when my numbers were brought down (and the pain as well). Try the latter first, and see how it goes.
