Three and a half years

I just got my Cat Scan and Bone scan plus blood work and the results were great. PSA still undetectable the seven bone Mets are gone or scarred over and I am riding the wave of ADT control. How long it will last I don’t know. I am thankful for Lupron and Zytiga my SOC . When I was diagnosed Dec of 2017 and confirmed in Mar of 2018 that I was metastatic, stage four and Gleason nine, I was pretty sure I was not going to be around for another 3 plus years. Well. here I am thanks to a good MO and the two drugs I mentioned above. How long before my cancer becomes resistant, I don’t know but I wlll take what I can get.

So I write this to share with all newbies to this site that a Prostate cancer diagnosis is in most cases not an immediate death sentence . With the proper doctors and treatment it can be controlled. Good luck to all and keep fighting. A good martini well made, with good olives will also help.🍸🍸🤠. Cheers

I'm the same as you and I can testify that ice cream also helps.

Did you have any type of radiation therapy to your prostate? Thank you

I'm sorry, but I had another question if that's OK, if not just ignore. Why did they wait 3 1/2 years and why now if you're still undetectable? I'm only asking because we still have not heard about when/if my husband will have RT.

I am sorry if I was unclear I have no plans for radiation as long as my ADT is working.

I made 4 1/2 years before BCR and soaring PSA. RX to two mets that popped on NaF18 scan and PSA leveled and dropped slightly between #5 and #6. Waiting another week to get next blood test and PSA reading. I may be a little anxious, but not to worried. In the middle of Proveng series now. More to follow as I progress.... Life is Good.

After being turned into a pin cushion for the first infusion of Proveng, tomorrow will be a port installation. Monday another pheresis in Spokane and Thursday reinfusion, Lots of miles to drive and other appt. in between. Life is Good, just busy some times....

My grand daughter worked for Provenge for a few years as a infusion training nurse. She had nothing but praise for the results obtained and extension of life it gave.

Yep, flooding, but missing our house and our kids apartment Double lines installed from mid chest and into neck under the skin... They said it would be easy. Well, maybe for them but I'm darned sore today. Ready to scream if I touch my chest where you can see two tubes under my skin, wiggle the valve/ports hanging below bandages, or turn my head and stretch area where they pierce my neck... Hope it gets a LOT better my Monday when they put them to use. The price we pay to get "stay alive treatments". Life is Good-----just hurts sometimes....

“ They said “”. Sure? Easy? “ they “ don’t know shit . I Sat with many friends my first two years doing nat ivs that had ports .. this is a truly draconian tactic. for survival . I’m praying that it works for you .. you’re one tuff cookie. Love life hate pain .. 🙏🙏❤️❤️

We are said to be tapering off from the rains for the next week. I’m sure that all of Az will pass the rest of this fire season easily now.

Great results. Keep fighting and moving forward.

My hope is for you to ride the zero tide for many years ..👏✌️🍻
