Exercise really helps

Although I bike every day 3 miles round trip up a very steep driveway (half is downhill) that is apparently not enough. For the last three days I have done a lot more, trimming 1.5 miles of overhanging trees sitting and standing (my doctor told me to not climb ladders anymore) on my very tall Sprinter. I got exhausted both days. Yesterday I walked up steep hills many times working on my water system. Last night I finished my arduino program and it works. I actually found a fairly elegant solution that had evaded me for months of brain fog. I finished another quite complicated program to control a metal brake. It works too. Anyone need precisely bent metal :) I also climbed up to my bedroom to get my belt and guess what? I remembered. I seriously would have forgotten just a few days ago,

That is great to hear! I hope you continue to flow and reap the countless benefits. ATTA BOY

I am beginning to believe that a lot of the side effects of ADT are at least partially controllable by your attitude. I now feel almost as if I were not on ADT. I believe I have reached some sort of resolution and a big part of that might be because Lexipro has helped me to accept my condition and not be angry about it or act like a victim. All it took was one great meal to restore my appetite. My hot flashes at night are essentially gone (using magnesium glycinate) Mt muscle weakness pain etc is tolerable if I get a lot of exercise. My head is clear enough that I am back to programming. Life is good. I am considering using some LSD for microdosing or maybe for a full trip. I have not done it in maybe 45 years and the last time was great until a friend, also tripping, fell out of a tree and broke his leg :) The trip turned off immediately. I think a good trip might help to adjust my attitude even more. I might wait until I am closer to death which hopefully will be a long time but others might be ready now. As soon as I start feeling off again I will ramp up my exercise.

Attitude, mindset yes indeed. And of course the better attitude begets more of what feeds it, like the exercise. If Lexapro helps great. If magnesium glycinate helps that’s great too.

I personally like short chain triglyceride from coconut oil potion in my coffee, tastes great and curbs my appetite a bit which comes in handy bc the ADT is mostly worn off but the belly fat is very stubborn!

It’s only been 40 years since I’ve taken LSD, but the entire ship has sailed for me; only nightly non-THC CBD oil over here.

However, I’m surprised you can even find LSD anymore. You must live in California lol. I do know Psilocybin is gaining mainstream favor now, which is good.

Great luck to you as always!

I use the coconut oil when I cook my rice..a tablespoon per cup..adds a nice flavor and keeps the rice from clumping..rice is always organic whole grain...but my coffee..straight-up black.

so it has to be short chain? i have a few quarts of medium, is that not as good or worthless? should I add short chain to my dog food too? My poodle is getting a little spacey but I think it is just obstinence ?

Coconut oil contains MCTs and SCTs...but to be honest there really isn't good data IMO on the efficacy of any fats for pca...good overall diet and exercise is key...I believe exercise helps because it maintains good blood supply to tumors which helps keep them stationary which slows spreading. G8 -10 like to explore unfortunately.

Also now that my brain fog is minimal and short term memory is back and I am on Lexipro I am actually thinking better in some ways. I had a huge vocabulary when young, part of a "heads" clique in high school and we strove to impress others with arcane words. Most of my life I was too speedy to find the right word. Now I have slowed down and my vocabulary has become accessible. So I guess the brain is still functioning.

Bike exercise does nothing for the bones. You need to run, or walk every day, and do resistance training 2 to 3 times a week.

I live in the mountains and walk everywhere when biking is not practical. This is serious walking. My husband is a wreck, just starting alzheimer symptoms and it is scary. I found a place for the Bowflex and am assembling it today. I guess I will use it too. However I think I get plenty of resistance doing heavy chores like firewood, etc. Might get bone density checked but that is more radiation, right?

I cycle a fair amount an article I read said mtn biking is better than road, maybe because you stand up more? Anyway I ride road, mtn, and gravel and have no plans to stop. I also hike and do a lot of work around the house like weedwacking for hours on end, picking fruit, building and mending fences, trimming trees, etc. I still have osteopenia and my MO thinks if I get a vacation from ADT in Sept I can turn that around. Not sure he is right but I plan to keep doing what I am doing until I can't. Yes a Dexa scan is a very small dose of radiation.

I will ask my MO if he thinks I should have a scan and when. I do fall occasionally and only broke an arm once in my life and that was a serious fall. I do not want to add broken bones to my situation. I am actually doing very well, considering. My mind is back largely and I actually have awakened my "vast" :) vocabulary (but not my speeling) Hot flashes are under control and if I didn't know I had stage 4 PC I would just think I was getting old.

Also bone pain is gone probably because the ADT is working?

:) my MO had no issue arranginga DEXA scan but I had to ask. Glad your SEs are getting under control. I had very few but recently had a couple hot flashes (I think, could be the warmer weather) and feel like the brain fog is finally moving in. Though its a day to day thing and may be related to the days after a hard ride in higher temps for my area. Take care and keep up that movement, and exercise or mind and body.
