I heard someone say that the drug companies still consider it a success if the Chemotherapy kills the cancer even if the patient dies from the treatment. Is there any truth to this?
Thank you

Statistics normally show „prostate cancer mortality“ and „all cause mortality“. Of course chemo therapy is a tough drug, but without chemo I wouldn’t live any more.
No truth all chemo trials have used overall survival as an endpoint. It sounds like a conspiracy theory that some whack-job is promoting.
Does it sound true? No it does not. Move on.
It's a variation on an old cynical joke: "The surgery was a success, but the patient died."
If the treated patient dies there is no way to tell if the Cancer was eradicated so this is a trash conspirancy theory. Ignore it,
probably so, but I have never had chemo and never intend to have chemo.
Patients don’t loose their battle with cancer when they die because the cancer dies too…..
Id call that a draw!
