Dr Oliver Sartor of Tulane Univ. on Cabazitaxel for later stage Castration Resistant mPCa (CRmPCa). Vs Docetaxel and Zytiga.
Dr Sartor is cutting edge. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I had to Google this link and found Dr. Sartor’s remarks. Thank you for posting this as I am approaching a decision point regarding docetaxel.
Comment: is anyone else on the forum tired of reading about differences in the median for progression-free survival being measured in 3-4 months? Same for abiraterone. We need YEARS!
Hey Spyder54, I took the carboplatin chemo for Aug.2020-April21’, it states that it only stabilizes the prostate cancer (which I didn’t find out until later) so it doesn’t spread. So, it doesn’t kill the cancer. Mine is solely in my entire skeleton and it stayed there..stabalized. I can’t speak about the docetaxal..never tried it. I was on 2 chemos at the same time for 5 months & they dropped the one due to Serious anemia etc- side effects called Cabazitaxel it was abd nay still be a clinical trial when 2 chemo’s used together-).. then Carboplatin the entire time. I had a pretty easy time with this one. Ya, my RBC cell count were a bit low, and hemoglobin down etc. But it did reduce my psa significantly and Alkaline phosphotase. I hope this helps, even a little! Routing for you! Snd bty) I tried all the androgen type meds for year’s like zytiga too..unfortunately with no success at least to my PSA.
