I know some guys here are taking cabergoline to lower prolactin.
What dose do you use? Have you noticed any side-effects?

Did not have to use Cabergoline. Serum Prolactin came down by 60% just with VITEX FRUIT capsules (Nature's Way) 1 cap two times a day for 30 days. No need for Cabergoline.
I am starting transdermal estrogen patches, to avoid the side-effects from ADT Firmagon on suppression of estrogen.
When I check Vitex agnus-castus, the ingredient of Vitex fruit, I find that is may suppress estrogen:
"Estrogens Interaction Rating: Moderate Be cautious with this combination.Talk with your health provider.
Vitex agnus-castus seems to change hormone levels in the body. Taking vitex agnus-castus along with estrogen pills might decrease the effects of estrogen pills"
Seems risky for me to take.....?
Interesting guys, but can I ask the stupid question, who do we need to reduce prolactin? How would I know if I have high Prolactin?
Here's another post and thread... the comments have more links.(It seems like benefits of reducing prolactin are not definitive, but "Costello" is the researcher to look for, if interested.)
Google 'The Suppression of Prolactin is required for the Treatment of Advanced Prostate Cancer" by Leslie C Costello. His evidence is based on a single case study. It's a long shot chance but I am willing to take it. What is there to loose, if side effects are no concern. Before starting cabergoline or an alternative prolactin inhibiting substance, I want to find out that there is not any significant estrogen suppression effect from it.
Femara is much more effective but costly and can reduce libido considerable.
I usually ask the attendant for a fill up of Cabergoline and to check my oil and my tires....
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
