Well we can try low glutamine diet although glutamine in almost every food but higher in animal protein and lower in vegetables and fruits other than that there are natural glutamine inhibitors like ECGC do drink green tea through out day and Ashwagandha is also glutamine inhibitor you can do intermittent fasting or OMAD(one meal a day) this may or may not slow down cancer through glutamine pathway this is just a thought as you asked to comment on your post

Ashwagandha can boost testosterone I think. I have not been giving any to my husband for that reason.

Karmaji, Wow! Thank you. Great article. Here, Here to Duke Cancer Center!!“By targeting glutamine metabolism, the researchers pioneered a way to bypass the complex androgen receptor signaling processes, instead directly suppressing the production of energy and building blocks required by prostate cancer cells, essentially starving tumor cells to death“

My best to you and yours,

There's quite a bit of evidence supporting the inhibition of glutamine metabolism, but it can be a delicate balancing act since the immune system (like many bodily systems) needs glutamine to function.

Very Tricky.... One inhibits Glutamine...brings damage to normal organs....These toxic drugs may block cancer growth but produce apoptosis of healthy organs.....

I hope one day medical science will come to its senses and take a road keeping patient healthy ....sure no place for cancer when other organs have failed....

A failed approach of the research community....

We can do better if docs deal with human being , not the disease

Well a long road to have human medical treatments......

Great point, K. But there is also the other side of the equation: "I hope one day we humans will come to our senses to take a road to keep ourselves and our fellow humans healthy." We can't seem to agree what "health" really means (emotional, intellectual, physical, spiritual), the pathways to get there, or the methods to keep us on those paths. But that's part of the reason why we talk here on this forum! New ideas and open discussion helps immensely! Cheers.

I read a report recently, that says the method how PC fuels itself after becoming hormone resistant, is that it starts using Glutamine.

I will try to find the link
