My oncologist had this done on the original tumor after a biopsy three years ago. The level came out to 1 percent with an underline and a arrow to the right on top . What is he trying to find out with this pathology test ? I am on arbitrone , been on it for ten weeks the PSA event from 12.5 to 1.3, next blood work will be done in a week or so before the next appointment , also on prednisone and three month lupron or elegard. Any information on this would be helpful, I did print some things, is he looking at immotherapy of some sort ?

PD-L1 is an immunotherapy target and TPS is the proportion of tumor cells that express it. If it were high, Keytruda might be useful. Unfortunately you are typical of most men with prostate cancer in that you don't express it. Prostate cancer is "cold" to most kinds of immunotherapy.

Have you ever had the test, just wondering if they normally do this test at some point in the treatment, my number is extremely low I think so immotherapy would not do anything, right. The number is low so it is a good thing or just limits treatment options down the road ?

I haven't had the test, but I know 2 guys who have. It usually reveals nothing useful, but worth a try.
