Just completed 9th treatment with Docetaxel , PSA is still dropping , down from 3.58 to 2.3 in 21 days , am concerned about some potential COPD developing , shortness of breath and stamina are becoming a concern , I am not a smoker , besides the occasional cigar , but nothing gets inhaled , not sure if the chemo is scarring my lungs , getting the old ticker checked out as well but so far that looks good , i am a big guy , down about 110 pounds before this cancer thing happens , trying to lose more but hard to exercise with any results with such poor stamina........

9 treatments in a row is a lot without a break (it's usually 6), but the oncological results seem very good.
Hi Mollygrace666
I had 6 cycles of Docetaxel last year and had the same problems you are having. Fatigue and shortness of breath were a major factor while I was having the chemo, and they are still a daily part of my life.
Are you on ADT (hormone therapy) as well? It is quite confusing sometimes to work out which treatment is causing which side effect since both cause similar problems. Not much you can do about fatigue - just sleep when you feel like it and when you can. I can go out and walk 2 miles at a brisk pace and not have breathing problems. Yet, I can just walk upstairs or turn over in bed and be out of breath. It kinda takes you by surprise.
Anyway, sorry I can't be much help. My only treatment is either a glass of red wine or a bacardi & coke.
Cheers.
