Zitiga without taking prednisone

Zitiga and prednisone . I can't take a steroid of any amount . Is there anything I can take instead ? I have heart problems , wheezing , and combative at any little thing . all test show no heart or lung problems . I've gained 20 pounds. I get light headed and weak can hardly walk . This is the same symptoms I had 25 years ago when I was hospitalized with a Asthma attack for the first time at 45 . If my wife was alive she would have known because she always hated when I has to take prednisone cause I was mean to her . And I go on and on and on like right now .

You could request taking zytiga with eplerenone (Inspra) an aldosterone receptor blocker. It could control the effects of the excess in aldosterone caused by Zytiga (sodium retention, edema, hypertension and hypokalemia ).

That’s a more powerful steroid

Maybe you can take XTANDI. I believe that doesn’t require a steroid.

The dose of prednisone only replaces what is lost. The Zytiga prevents your adrenal glands from manufacturing cortisol, so you need a low dose to replace it. It is completely different from taking extra steroids.

So it is either the Zitiga / prednisone or I'm just going insane . I think I would choose letting cancer to take over rather than going mad right now .

Why would you go insane?

As Nalakrats suggested, try Darolutamide. I would take it without Lupron. You should feel much better then.

You can use Dexamethason instead - I’ve taken that with Zytiga for the last 3-4 years. No issues changing over. Dosis is the smallest possible, 1mg, which is half a pill.
