Just had my seventh dose of Docetaxel.....fatigue is getting worse each treatment.....lost all my body hair and a great white beard which was my pride and joy at 53.....bone pain and chest pain.....and my taste buds go wonky for about a week....my fingernails look like a Klingon's forehead......could be worse.....PSA is lowering... chemo began after being on Zytiga for a year....PSA went from 78 to 3.4.......then it stopped working....

They should make a cold cap for chins to preserve beards.

How's your general health (before doing chemo)? Any heart, lung, diabetes or blood pressure issues? Weight? Some have said that can affect impact. I may have it this year.

Thanks, people seem to have wildly varying responses, some with awful side effects and others with almost none. Not sure why.

Enjoy the smooth hairless and odorless newborn-baby look with pride and for more time for being alive. Treat it as a temporary experiment. See what you observe from how people respond and relate to you hairless. It can be interesting. The hair and beard will be back in due time.

Hope you found some time to do some light exercises like walking. Do not let the side effects drive you to become a couch potato. It helped me a lot during my treatment. God bless
