Hey party people. With all times people come here to understandably complain and get pissed, I wanted to give some good news.
I feel fucking AWESOME.
I've been on Xtandi for a month and I'm two months into quarterly Lupron shots too. I did get super bad flu symptoms from Lupron for a day and a half and I might get that again, but fuck it man. If that's all I'm going to get, I'll just binge watch movies until I feel better.
Although I've been very fortunate to have low aggression in my cancer, it sucks that most of my medicine hasn't lasted for more than a year.
It will be awesome it this lasts a long time.
People tell me I can beat cancer, but at stage 4, realistically I can't.
I get that I will always have to change medicines, but if what I am doing right now is going to be a reflection of the next 40 - 45 years of my life, I have zero problems carrying this mother fucker that long.

You can beat back stage 4. Doesn't mean you'll live to be 110, but I'm stage 4 and feeling fine. My beautiful doc knew just what to do for me. We can only live until we die. Make the most of each day.
I'm almost 4 years into stage 4, on xtandi 1/2 dose, and going out to split firewood and load up my porch before it decides to snow snow again. Just can't work as hard or long as I used to. Life is worth living to the fullest I can...Best of luck with xtandi, I've been on it over 3 yrs and so far so good. At 70 I'm two years in to my 10 year plan. Be nice to have a 20 yr plan, but by then I'd be a really old fart!!
The porch is loaded, the kindling split and stacked and the rest of the pile is recovered. I've worked up quite a sweat working out in a nice warm day (42) so now I'm drinking a beer and once I cool out I'll strip the compression sleeve off my grafted arm and take a shower.... I guess a shower is just a luxury since with no T I don't stink anymore but a dry shirt and shorts will feel better. Have great day!!.
I had read the no stink thing and thought I would give no deodorant a try and have a couple female friends give me a "sniff" after a workout. They assure me I smell and so back to deodorant.
Glad for the good news FinalBossMatt. Also, I've noticed that my sweat stopped smelling of anything a few days/weeks after eating strictly WFPB. Even the poop is better on WFPB. I noticed on the day after Christmas. On Dec 25 I had 3 meatballs, my first meat since September, and the next day I was reminded that poop stinks much more when eating meat lol.
I have always loved chopping wood and burn some outside but nothing like what somebody heating their house is doing. I have a few really nice axes though. My pride and joy is a USA made Craftsman about 30 years old that I put a new handle in.
My 1948 kerosine weed burner is what put me in the hospital for a month in 2019. Look out for some of that old, working good equipment... My wife made me get rid of my John deere shop heater acct it was also a kerosine burner. She just doesn't like kerosine much after seeing me walk into the house with skin and cloth hanging off my right arm. Do have an old rehandled craftsman hatchet that works great and is about as old as I am...
She seems to be ready for an emergency whenever I call her name and tell her I need help. Have even called on my cell phone if I can't get myself to the home... Bless those little pesky pocket fillers.
Matt that is great news. I am in the same boat with you. I am on my 2nd month of Xtandi and Zolodex and feel great. I haven’t taken a hydrocodone since the morning of New Years. Prior to that some type of narcotic since late lune when I first started down the road to diagnosis. Currently no bone pain from the Mets. I’ll be interested to see what my next PET scan shows. I’m very thankful for this and pray that all of us find this same feeling. Each of you are in my prayers.
