Hi all, just a small update. My brother had more blood work done and PSA is now 1.7 down from 15 in 4 weeks. 88% decrease. Scans are done at 8 weeks so 3 more weeks to go. He is feeling good. Hopefully his T878A mutation will continue to respond. Will post again after scans with more good news!

Sure sounds like great news to me. :) What kind of treatment is your brother doing?

My brother is doing the ARV/110 phase two clinical trial at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. It is very promising for men with certain mutations. It is also working for men without those mutations, at this higher dose level. I will include some information about it for you.

Great news!! Do you know what specific mutation(s) your brother has that they think is helpful with ARV 110?

Yes he has T878A

There are 3 other mutations also showing promise

Thank you for your response. Do you have the names of the other 3 mutations?

I

ARV-110 is designed to degrade wild-type AR, as well as forms of AR harboring point mutations, including T878A, H875Y, F877L and M895V, that occur in 5-7 percent of mCRPC patients and confer resistance to abiraterone, enzalutamide, and other anti-androgen therapies. In preclinical models ARV-110 does not degrade the L702H AR mutation or the AR-V7 splice variant, each of which occurs in 3-10 percent and about 30 percent of patients, respectively.

Thank you so much! I always try to post as much information as I can in hopes that it may help someone else as well. It is why I continue to mention his mutation. He was told by his original oncologist that there was nothing for those mutations. It was after much research that we discovered ARV 110. I’m sure there are men out there that have similar mutations that have no idea about this trial. It is also working for some other mutations as well. Plus I always love sharing positive news!

Very pleased to hear about this. Are there many side effects with this treatment?

No it seems pretty safe. He said he feels way better compared to being on Xtandi.
