What do you guys think of this article? Pathways blocking.

Do you feel that the drugs mentioned here address all of the issues or some of them? What other pathways/drugs/supplements do you feel are important?

There are dozens of pathways the cancer uses. So far, the evidence is that if you block some pathways, others will emerge. Prostate cancer is very heterogeneous between patients and even in the tumors of the same patient. Clinical trials are focused on finding patients who will benefit and patients who won't.

Without buying the book is there a cliff notes list/explanation of what the pathways are?

You might check out this metabolic map of Pca. It's the best graphical representation I've found so far and sums up a lot of information elegantly.

The genetic/epigenetic pathways detailed here may represent the state of the art of a few years ago, nevertheless it could prove useful if you're interested in exploring Pca metabolism. I've used it to guide research into natural inhibitors of specific pathways that reoccur throughout Pca progression. As Nalakrats points out Mclelland's cancer and Pca are quite different. While the three basic ways she lays out that any cancer might fuel itself seem correct, the ways that a specific cancer does so might also be very different.

Yeah, it's pretty cool. Was happy to find it. Let me know if it leads you to anything interesting!

Will do. I'm reading some books on "pathway" blocking and am putting together a matrix in excel. Been done before but I haven't seen what I envision. I'll let you know (will probably make a blog post with the info and send you the link). It's going to take me a while to get a first pass done. I'd rather do it right than hurry and have it useless as a result.
