Thanks. Very interesting. So much effort and money invested in the COVID vaccine that we can hope it would advance cancer research and treatment as well. I wonder where the clinical trials are and what cancers they are focused on initially.

fmenninger I had 11!mRNA vaccines for prostate cancer back in 2018 so we can all be hopeful since I know that Moderna has been working on mRNA vaccines for about a decade. The technology for the mRNA vaccines I took comes from Baylor in Houston, but I had to travel to India to have them. Dr. William K Decker has been approved for mRNA vaccine trials for both pancreatic and glioblastoma brain cancer. It didn’t cure me unfortunately, but helped keep me stable after dx’d with a 212 PSA, Gleason 9 back in 2014. Presently, NED with <.01 PSA. I am on the kitchen sink however. APCEDEN vaccines, Keytruda, Zytiga, and Lupron for 5 months. Doc and I agree to stop everything in the fall when I run out of regular tumor lysate vaccines.

Hi Fuzz:

Thanks for the promising info on using mRNA for cancer therapy as there’s much hope in this enabling technology similar to Celgene’s success many years ago. Please keep us posted as I wish you best success in your fight!

Stay strong brother.....

I keep in touch with them periodically. COVID has slowed construction down but the licensing from technology from Baylor including mRNA vaccines doubled loaded with tumor lysate like I did and some new idea with Car-T therapies will be able to be accessed in Cancún. They are building a lab there. I have heard the price will be expensive compared to India to say the least. As far as they know I was the first human case of mRNA vaccines for cancer, and it just happened to be prostate. I think we live about a half hour apart. I’m just north of Scranton.
