Anybody hear about their clinical trial stopping due to Clovid 19? NPR had a recent article about it.

Some trials have paused and some continue. Malecare’s clinical trial continues. Trials are more labor intensive than most people imagine and are hard to perform remotely. Go to the covid19 section on Malecare.org where you will find a search box for 226 covid19 specific trials

Thanks Darryl. I hope they do not stop the clinical trials for advanced prostate cancer.

I was advised by MD Anderson that they have placed on hold all phase one trials but that the others are moving forward. All thought this was 10 days ago and the fact that Houston is getting hit hard at the moment with covid-19 cases may have placed the others on hold. Fingers crossed that we can get back to normal sometime soon and get on with the fight and finding a cure for cancer.

I am in a clinical trial at Sarah Cannon in Denver, phase 2. ADZ6435 with Oleculab. They will not allow visitors and all chairs for infusion (Oleculab every 2 weeks) and others are 10 feet apart. All nurses, Doctors and patients wear masks and gloves.

My hubby is on one now, phase 3. They gave him xtandi and cabazitaxel at the same time then continued the xtandi. It’s worked great for 3 years but his PSA has gone up from 4 to 15. We are still on a wait and see, but he was on a waiting list for a new trial. I did read On an FDA website that the cancer trials were still on a high priority. So.... interesting time.

My phase II trial at MD Anderson is continuing. Meds are shipped to me. Bloodwork is done locally. Biggest issue will be inability to obtain the once every three mont scans to watch for disease progression.

We are coming up to three month scan in June. We went in for monthly blood work, meds and consult at end of March at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
