In wedensday this week it was the last tablet after six months where my PSA <0.1 and with the recommendation from my Oncology DR.weise in Germany to stop it and check up PSA.I will check it up on 19th of January next year to see the development, ofcourse i will inform you about the result.
If my PSA result it will be to a certain point like 0.4 or 0.5 he recommended to start again Bicalutamide150mg.
What i have for choice just to follow the DR.reccomendation,i trust him because he is not only DR.he is a good person.
My regards
George

Intermittent Bicalutamide therapy is an interesting concept. What if this method can keep Bicalutamide resistance away for a decade or more...something to watch.
Continuous ADT treatment is reserved for those that NEED it.
Ideally, you could 'CYCLE' on and off - provided your PSA remains within limits.
In some cases, STOPPING ADT is a good idea.
It could help indicate the success of a primary form of treatment.
OR, it could extend the amount of time you respond to ADT - in a castrate sensitive state.
For example, I took ADT (Lupron equivalent) for 16 months - then went on an ADT vacation for 2 1/2 years - will probably be 3 years by the time I try to repeat the cycle (on and off).
The advise you received sounds reasonable to me - don't panic - There is no need for that ...
