PSA leveled off

I went in Monday for my Firmagon injection and bloodwork. My PSA seems to have leveled off at 0.6. Should I be expecting it to go lower, or is that my new "normal"? I see lots of guys on here that have levels of 0.02 which I guess is basically undetectable.

This is OK. In this study they determined: "Median PSA levels after 1 year of treatment [...] were 0.50 and 0.40 ng/mL in the degarelix 240/80 mg and leuprolide groups, respectively." (in the full text) pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/246...

Wait for the next PSA. A PSA of .6 is good. Keep up the good fight.

That's a good response to chemo and Firmagon. But why stop there? Can you get Zytiga? You were considering Xofigo next - where did you come out with that? Both are good after chemo.

My MO hasn't mentioned Zytiga. I asked him about Xofigo and he said that would be when I became castration resistant.

I hope you will ask him about Zytiga
