Enlarged lymph gland

I like my husband’s oncologist. I’m going to go for a second opinion. As I mentioned yesterday that enlarged lymph gland The doctor said it could be cancerous which I’m thinking maybe the same thing. I also do believe that the Zytiga He’s not doing its keeping the cancer at bay. I believe that the cancer is spreading this is why it’s in that lymph gland. I think he needs to be on a different type of treatment to see if that works

Insist in getting a biopsy. I agree that in a patients with advanced prostate cancer and with progressing PSA one should be worried about a PC metastasis but there are many causes of enlarged lymph nodes. A biopsy will be definite one way or the other.

Has your husband had regular CT scans. That should show progression to lymph nodes and increasing size.

No this lymph node just popped up a couple days ago!!

It might not be cancer but scans would be most helpful in determining where it might be.

They are going to do a scan as soon as our idiot Ins co appproves it!!! Sorry they have fought us every step of the way. I want my husband to go to a Center of excellence for a second opinion and they won’t even allow one Authorization for that. I don’t even know why we pay for insurance.His doctor wanted him to have a pet scan they said no we had to have a CAT scan. Just everything their fighting us with. 💔💔💔

I’m sorry you are having so much trouble. It’s an added complication no one needs particularly with cancer. I pray you will get the info you both need.
