Diagnosed 2008 and had robotic surgery. Prostate bed irradiation 5 years later when PSA started to rise, then was undetectable for 4 years. Then had spread into 4-5 retroperitoneal lymph modes. Been on Lupron 3 years, and recently PSA started to go up again. 3 weeks after starting Daralutamide PSA is undetectable again.
Pretty happy with where I am after 12 years. Keep on fighting guys!

Told my wife years later that I wished I had seen Fleetwood Mac in concert. She looked at me and said "You did, you dumb ass." Those were the days. You never get a hangover, if you don't stop drinking.
Not certain. Pretty much as soon as it was obvious that it was going up it was decided to do prostate bed irradiation, after which it became undetectable for 4 years.
Thanks. That's useful info. I had a 7.5 year remission after salvage radiation a year after RP. 3+ years ago I had more radiation (lymph nodes outside the local area) plus Taxotere plus 9 months of Lupron, and I'm in remission again. Each time, I started treatments when PSA was very low but doubling every 6 months.
I hate the word remission, for in fact for advanced prostate cancer, it does not exist. Once the bastards have spread, you buying time, PC cells just go to sleep while on hormone treatment until the smart buggers figure it out and eat you alive.
Not something that was suggested to me. Have read about it. Dr a mostly SOC guy at a good hospital, although I add a couple of snake oil meds of my own.
