Need info to discuss with ONC about progression of PSA under Chemo

Hello All.

Well, I just had my 5th Doxetal treatment. So let me update my other post about my situation.

Started Chemo March 16th.

Jun 16, 2020 6.18 ng/mL

May 21, 2020 5.02 ng/mL

Apr 30, 2020 4.48 ng/mL

Apr 09, 2020 4.25 ng/mL

Mar 16, 2020 3.04 ng/mL

Last two Alkaline Phosphates numbers were 225 and 233. I have only one lesion at C7 which just formed in March.

My situation, as I have described before is that I had to switch my ONC first because of Insurance, 2nd because my 2nd ONC died from a routine surgery, 3rd ONC died in a car crash last January, then the ONC who prescribed up to ten infusions left as he was temporary only because they were short on ONCs, and my new ONC does not impress me much, but I would have to stop treatment to get a change again of ONC.

So I want to know what I should research and ask at my next infusion on July 6th. And has anyone else had such rising PSA during Chemotherapy?

Becoming very concerned. And it seems like I have no doctor who is invested in me.

"If you didn't have bad luck (with Oncs), you'd have no luck at all." Maybe ask for a new bone scan/CT and a biopsy of your C7 if possible.

My Primary is trying to get the scans arranged. However it's complicated because I now live in Canada and am driving from Canada to my ONC every three weeks (back into quarantine for me and my Canadian wife everytime). So I need to try and get them scheduled on the same day as I have nowhere to stay overnight there (and wouldn't sleep anywhere that I could catch COVID). They know I have a lesion at C7. Why would I need a biopsy of it? Thanks as always TA.

Biopsy (histology, IHC and genomics) may tell you if it is a rare type of PCa that can be treated with a known medicine like a PARP inhibitor, carboplatin, or Keytruda. It may also suggest certain clinical trials.
