I sent my newest Med/Onc a msg with some of my ADT (Abiraterone 250mg, Lupron(Eligard), prednisone 5mg 2X/day)

He evidently did not see them as positive and ordered me; 1) CT scan abs/pelvis/chest 2) NM technicium bone scan and new set of labs, including TSH(thryoid). Is there something I not comprehending with a PSA Delta 0.051ng/mL increase in 2months? 1) Yes it was read by a different hospital lab. 2) I just had umbilical hernia surgery 3 weeks ago 3) I was exercising the night before my PSA labs(eliptical machine and bike riding.

Did those scans and labs yesterday at IU North hospital Shelly Schwarz CC Indianapolis. Yep my PSA results in my history since ADT are:

•0.536 ng/mL Date: Nov 17, 2020 09:21 a.m.

- Yesterday.

•0.485 ng/mL Date: Sep 18, 2020 10:10 a.m.

•0.754 ng/mL Date: Jun 08, 2020 07:31 a.m.

•1.032 ng/mL Date: Mar 10, 2020 12:00 p.m.

•1.100 ng/mL Date: Dec 10, 2019 08:00 a.m.

•8.566 ng/mL (High) Date: Sep 10, 2019 11:35 a.m.

•14.393 ng/mL (High) Date: Aug 20, 2019 04:06 p.m.

An unusual PSA increase or not?

You should not be using an ultrasensitive PSA test - it has no valid use for your situation and creates needless anxiety. If that is the only test you can get, ignore everything right of the decimal point, or at least right of the tenths place. There's nothing you would do differently until your PSA rises over about 2, shows a PSADT<6-9 months, or your bone scan/CT shows renewed activity.

Thanks T_A. Understandably so. My mind is racing paralleling my bodies energy supply, so its time to slow down and think about the main goal. Monitoring rapid rises/growth of my Adv PCa. Super info as always my friend Tall_Allen.

Your newest Med/Onc is ordering all those scans and blood tests to get a new baseline. Common practice. As far as your PSA, I would be more concerned about a meteor crashing through your roof and setting your home ablaze, in other words it's of no concern.

Thanks for the metaphor of 'meteor crashing through our new roof tonight' Fran2020.

I was excited to get my 'new' CT scan and NM Bone scan done yesterday. Those rad. reports should be released, active in my IU Health patient portal tonight(the CT scan at least) that's intriguing to see/review what they find or do not find from bottom pelvis to upper chest.

Both 0.5 so no real change. Nothing to do until three raised in a row..and higher(above 1) at least.

Different lab can give slightly different PSA results too. Based on your super low numbers, relax and enjoy the holidays
