University California-Los Angeles have launched Phase Two Clinical Trial Of Degarelix To Treat Only Male COVID-19 Patients

Looks like this might really work as UCLA started Phase Two trial.

Dr Rettig is Medical Director, Prostate Cancer Program, UCLA Institute of Urologic Oncology

The reason for choosing degarelix might be that it brings testosterone down very quickly.

This means otherwise healthy (except of COVID-19) male patients will be (temporarily?) castrated. With all side effects.

Question: How long does it take for degarelix to be completely flushed out of the body after just one injection?

My experience is that you will notice the side effects of Degarelix after about eight weeks, this means when you get your third injection. Lack of sexual interest is rather immediate.

If you only get one injection of Degarelix, the testosterone should have fully recovered four months after this injection. The recovery period gets longer, the longer the ADT lasted.
