As I look in to my forest this morning I can see a bear had it’s way with my deer feeder last night, guess
I haven’t posted for several weeks but am happy to report I finished my 8th (and last) taxatere infusion yesterday with a final PSA of 2.7 down from 15.8. Not the end result I was hoping for but my C11 Pet scan shows activity in my left 5th rib and my left femur that we will hit with radiation next week. Hopefully hitting the hot spots will take to non-detectable which would be awesome after dealing with this beast for the last 6 years. I will also be starting Xtandi shortly to the fight.
So I’ll take my partial win after chemo and head to Lake Kabatogma located in Voyagers National Park with some friends next Friday for the fishing opener. We have the total resort rented so social distancing, masks and hand sanitizer will put a different spin on the trip this year. But as long as the fishing is good and weather doesn’t bring snow I’ll be happy.
Take the time between treatments to enjoy the things you love to do, and do not let this beast rob you of happiness. Stay strong and keep up the fight!

The cold cap I thought did well. After 8 rounds I still have a full head of hair that is certainly thinner but it’s growing and if I could ever get a hair cut it would look good.
I just did a cold cap on line that was only $25. Kept it in the freezer the night before chemo and put it on at the start of taxatere. I know some people have two, so they keep it on for about and hour after treatment.
