Hi Fellas, Hope everyone is faring well during this challenging time. Quick update, my surgery for penile implant was scheduled for 3/16, and was postponed due to Covid-19 catastrophe. It has been approximately 4 months post Lupron and my libido is beginning to return. I have been following Dr. Mulhall's sexual recovery plan and was doing injections so penile muscle/tissues wouldn't atrophied. However, doing injections and trying to get erect was quite difficult and very painful when libido was zero. When I learned that getting a penile implant was my best option to having a penetrable erection back in January, I stopped doing the injections. Now that it is uncertain when my surgery will be rescheduled, I am in limbo. Not sure if I should resume treatments. Lastly, since my libido has begun to return I have been trying to schedule time to masturbate to orgasm. I have succeeded a few times now, but since my last orgasm 3 days ago I have felt a shooting pain from the tip of my penis to the groin, at the end or urinating. This has just begun out of nowhere. Should I not be jerking off just yet? Is there something else I should be concerned about? I am reaching out to doctors office today, but given the current climate, I am not sure I will get an answer quickly. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Dream weaver I am 2 years 4 months post surgery . I have used both suppositories and Caverject injections and am now able to achieve an erection unaided. I am a daily masturbator and have been working a t getting my penis to function since 6 weeks after my radical prostatectomy. Understand they were ed not able to spare any nerves because of my condition. I am also 62 years of age. I guess my message to you is never give up on your penis it will probably surprise you. Keep massaging fondling ECT. Anything that makes it feel good.
Hey Man, Thanks so much for the advice. I get a little worn out sometimes. It feels like forever since my surgery in August of 2018. I am trying to stay positive and keep up the good fight. thank you for those amazing words of encouragement.
Dang man, if you know they took your nerves and you want sex, get an implant now. Got mine at 9 months after I got butchered RP. Do you know about Franktalk.org?
My URO told me he removed all my nerves and there was nothing to grow back to. That is why I got the implant. There is another set of nerves that engorge the glans and outer body of the penis. It sure would be nice if they started to work again. Right now I can erect it with the implant, but not much girth and reduced feeling. The glans is cold most of the time.
"KEEP UP' the good fight..............

Good day, Dream,
I’m four months into ADT and 5 weeks into radiation, so I’m still relatively new to this. I have been enrolled in the RESTORE study, a study for gay men to work at maintaining sexual function.
I’ve read 100’s of times in this group that the best treatment for fatigue is exercise... isn’t the definition of fatigue no energy, or desire to exercise? I get it... when I do exercise, paradoxically I get energy. So with that, it is “acting as if” I have energy, gives me energy.
For most of us, sex is more complicated... much more heady than just getting an erection. The study as encouraged me to spend time every day (well most days) on “rehab.” Daily viagra. Lube, masturbation and pumping. (I realize many can’t get erections) pumping will get blood into the penis if you have a good seal. Dilation (or putting something up you butt (Which I can’t do now that i am in radiation).
Before COVID, I was much more diligent about getting 3-4 of these activities every day. Since staring radiation and paying attention to what’s happening in the world, I do my rehab 3-4 x/week. Somehow, I have been able to maintain erections long enough to have sex with my husband (me being the top... as Tall Allen says, “nothing up the butt!”). Occasionally i can have a dry orgasm.
It sucks you have to wait for the surgery, but maybe there is something you can do with this time... weather it’s just developing a deeper relationship with yourself and your own sexuality, or bringing this work into a relationship with a partner, to me, dealing with the sex that happens between the ears is as important as any ability to have an erection. Happy to discuss more if interested...

Had Dr. Wang at MD Anderson do my implant....however been on ADT for 5 years....so my desire is off...I can go to sleep and the girls can pump it up and release it when done.....Great devise....makes you feel like a man again....you can get an external pump for now but be careful and not over pump.......You can have a lot of fun with it too....do some corporate flying and we get stuck at a number of resorts in the islands....stuck for many days so we hit the pool and see if we can put a dent in their beer reserves....meet a lot of people....always fun to catch a buzz go to the head and pump the ole sucker up half way and come back to the pool and act normal......after about 30 min. it gets to be a hoot.....Blue Skies , Sky King and Penny (woof)
I once had a dream that I had an erection and when I woke up my pajama string was standing straight up in the air.........
