For those of you wanting a PSA test at home as opposed to being around people testing for Covid-19, I have found a source to test at home thru CVS.
It says $98 but they only charged me $79. cvs.com/shop/letsgetchecked...

Is this a pin-prick test? -Patrick
Not sure but it must be right ? And CVS is not a fly by night outfit so it must be legit , don’t you think ?

Hi Patrick,
The PSA test that Schwah found may not be the same one that Dr. Chodak is reviewing in the medscape article. That article says the results are available in 15 minutes. The CVS test requires a mail in. It could be the same test given in some context where processing can be done onsite, but it may be different.

Wow, nice catch.
Probably not a high precision test, but better than nothing.
You think it will be covered by Medicare?
Thanks Schwah.
Do u think this self administered “finger prick” test is accurate?
Let's hope it is better than Theranos LOL
Two small caveats here. One is that different technologies are used for tests given to untreated men and to men who have been treated and need ultrasensitive testing to distinguish values below 0.2 or even 1.0. I presume the CVS test is NOT an ultrasensitive test.
A second caveat is that they appear to be using multiple labs for the blood analysis. This can sometimes mean that differences in results between two tests reflect different processing rather than, or in addition to, changes in PSA.

Asking for j-o-h-n: Is it a pin prick or a prick prick?
I doubt if that prick knows.
I only know if a Prick gives himself a prick then he can say he got pricked by a Prick. But if a Prick can't prick himself then he must ask a Prick to prick him which means he was pricked by some other Prick. And of course there's the situation where Pricks must have some fat guy named Richard prick them which means they were pricked by a thick Dick. If you happen to be sick make sure some dip stick named Nick doesn't prick you otherwise he may play a trick and accidentally clip your wick.... This shit is making me sick....

If Peter Piper picked a prick, I'm sure he would pick you. Your reply was so great, I liked it twice.
Thank you Mr. Pecker Checker.........

You win. I don't even have a place to hang my hat from anymore.
It's not whether you win or lose that counts it's if you beat the spread.....
My dilemma also ............... no more hatons.......

I had 2 doctors doing a psa test a month apart
Saw my first psa increase which troubled me. Then i found out their machines were calibrated differently. I worried for no reason. My concern is how accurate these tests are especially when comparing to previous tests done in oncologist lab
Awesome info . Thanks Schwah! 👍
