Possible protection from Covid 19 if you are on ADT+

While this is speculative and complex it is from a distinguished scientist who tries in his blog to help us interpret the science for lay readers. A ray of hope for those of us with metastatic PC.

One thing about this info is that to a large degree it is not practically actionable at this point: if you are on ADT, you are on it, and if you are not you're not. But it does indicate that hope exists, and that mechanisms of action are being actively explored.

Makes me wonder if we should be ramping up our intake of foods that are known to be high in flavonoids (berries, green tea, legumes?) and other things that might also help inhibit protease. I know there has been some research regarding how these compounds might fight SARS and other viral infections... anybody come up with a short list of foods, on top of those I mentioned, that might be most (potentially) protective as regards COVID-19?

We might want foods/supplements that are associated with improved ACE-2 function (curcumin?), and help inhibit mTOR, too.

Since many men are likely to become infected at some point, it seems a good subsequent strategy (in addition to the primary preventative ones of hygiene and distancing) would be to find ways to help avoid progressing from the milder "stage 1" disease (that resembles a bad cold) to the more severe "stage 2" level. Once that progression occurs, it seems like all bets are off. Seems that immune function and response are very different for the two stages.

OK I get that it is speculative, but it is nice to think there is a silver lining to losing your manhood.

More like a zinc ionophore lining if you are taking EGCG or quercetin

I posted a similar article that covered an interview with Dr. Sartor in Prostapedia on this subject.

Let’s hope it’s true.
